The Pilipino-American Graduation Celebration, P-Grad, is one of five cultural-based recognition ceremonies held to complement CSUF's annual commencement activities. It started in 2000, when several students received approval by the university to hold a graduation ceremony in celebration of the Filipino-American culture. As one of the ceremonies planned solely by students, Cal State Fullerton's Multicultural Leadership Center collaborates with students and continues to assist and support the coordination of the event to encourage student involvement in cultural activities on campus.

Each graduate participant will wear their caps and gowns and will receive their own P-grad stole to wear for the ceremony which they keep. Just like any graduation, it will consist of speakers (keynote speaker and outstanding P-grad student) and the presentation of certificates. In addition, each graduate participant will be given a moment at the podium to express their appreciation to family and friends.
